The Need Is Great

Our greatest motive is to provide all women, regardless of their insurance or legal status with a quality of life most breast cancer patients are provided after a mastectomy.

The Physical & Psychological Effects Of A Mastectomy

The Physical Effect

Breast cancer survivors are at elevated risk for spinal abnormalities (e.g., scoliosis) because of post-treatment changes in posture and bone health. Women without rescontructive surgury or breast prostheses are at a much highger risk for thoracic scoliosis caused by the imbalance of the chest.

The Psychological Effect

The psychological stress on women caused by mastectomy is far-reaching. A mastectomy brings problems to breast cancer patients who lose their breast after surgery, including psychological issues such as fear, depression, anxiety, and pessimistic despair.

TOGETHER

These challenges can considerably and negatively impact a patients’ self-image and psychophysiological and physical health and may seriously affect their quality of life.

Do you want to help?

Spread the word for us

We need your voice to let women know we’re here to help. Many times those individuals without insurance are left to figure out the next steps after a mastectomy on their own. We believe no one should have to walk this journey alone.
